Topic: “Artful Insights: Seeing With New Eyes” with guest speaker Jennifer DePrizio, ACC
“The real voyage of discovery consists not in seeking new lands…but in seeing with new eyes.” (Marcel Proust)
As coaches, it is essential that we continually strive to see with new eyes, so that we may support our clients to do the same. In this interactive session, art will serve as our foundation as we explore coaching mindset, cultivating trust and safety and maintaining presence. Through close-looking at art images, discussion, reflection exercises, and even some sketching, participants will sharpen their observation and communication skills, while digging deeper into what underlies the unique perspective we each bring to the conversation. Participants will be asked to step outside their comfort zone to gain greater insight into themselves and their coaching practice. Art is the vehicle; honing our coaching mindset, our ability to cultivate trust and safety and improved presence will be the result.
Key Learning Outcomes
⭐Be aware of and open to influence of context and culture on self and others (Embodies a coaching mindset)
⭐Acknowledge and better understand the lens we each bring to a new situation (Embodies a coaching mindset)
⭐Reinforce importance of understanding the client within their own context and respecting that unique context (Cultivates trust and safety)
⭐Strengthen observation and communication skills (Maintains presence)
